Reese Witherspoon, Joaquin Phoenix, Terrence Howard, Hugh Laurie & Denis Leary Among Nominees for 10th Annual PRISM Awards

"Walk The Line," "Rent" Nominated in the Feature Film Category

"House," "Everybody Loves Raymond," "Reba," "Saturday Night Live," Law & Order: SVU," "The O.C.,"& "Without a Trace" Among the Chosen in the Television Categories

LOS ANGELES - Nominees for the 10th Annual PRISM Awards reflect the entertainment industry's growing commitment to fighting substance abuse and addiction through accurate depictions of drug, alcohol and tobacco use and addiction in film, television, video, music and comic book entertainment. Recipients will be announced at an awards dinner Thursday, April 27th at the Beverly Hills Hotel and will air at a later date on the FX Network.

These awards are presented by the Entertainment Industries Council, Inc. (EIC), in partnership with the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), a component of the National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services.

NBC leads the networks in the number of nominations its programs received, with CBS and the WB close behind. The distribution of nominations among the networks is: NBC 9, CBS 8, WB 8, Lifetime 6, Fox 5, HBO 4, A&E 4, ABC 3, Discovery 2 and UPN 2.

Warner Bros. leads among the studios, with Paramount a close second. Following is the breakdown: Warner Bros. 9, Paramount 8, Sony 7, 20th Century Fox 6, HBO 5, NBC/Universal 4, New Line 3, Miramax 2, DreamWorks 2.

Fox 2000 Pictures' Walk the Line and Columbia Pictures' Rent are nominated in the Feature Film - Wide Release category. In the Performance for a Feature Film category the nominees are Rosario Dawson for her performance in Rent, Anne Hathaway for Havoc, Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon for Walk the Line and Christina Ricci for Prozac Nation.

Nominees in the TV Series Comedy Episode category are "The Spy Who Smoked Me" of All of Us, "Pat's Secret" of Everybody Loves Raymond, "Glug, Glug" of One on One, "Where There's Smoke" of Reba and "Good Morning Meth" of Saturday Night Live.

Nominations for Performance in a Comedy Series are Georgia Engel and Brad Garrett for Everybody Loves Raymond; Jason Lee, Amy Poehler and Kenan Thompson for Saturday Night Live

Nominees in the TV Series Drama Episode category are "Hunting" of House; "Blood" of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit; "The Dearly Beloved" of The O.C.; "We Wish You a Merry Cryst Meth" of Strong Medicine and "Off the Tracks" of Without a Trace.
