NIDA Hubert H. Humphrey Drug Abuse Research Fellows met with U.S. and international experts in drug abuse during the U.S. Department of State Global Leadership Forum. Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Humphrey Fellowship Program Coordinator J. Randy Koch organized the November 2, 2017, special session in collaboration with the NIDA International Program. Speakers included Nita Lalla Roncone, U.S. Office of National Drug Control Policy; Brian Morales, U.S. Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs; Maristela Monteiro, M.D., Ph.D., Pan American Health Organization; and Marya Hynes, Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission, Organization of American States. After brief, formal presentations, the speakers met with the fellows for small group discussions.
