You are cordially invited to join Dr. Alan Leshner, Director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), in a forum that will highlight mechanisms available for minority scholars to pursue biomedical careers and training in drug abuse research at their primary or host academic institutions. The forum will showcase research accomplishments of fellows at various training levels including faculty members affiliated with minority or majority universities. There will be ample opportunities for attendees to interact with NIDA director, the presenters, NIDA-supported trainee directors/ researchers, and NIDA staff, as well as to discuss various grant-funding opportunities at NIDA. The forum will be co-hosted by Xavier University at New Orleans, LA.
