ABCT is a membership organization of over 4,500 mental health professionals (psychologists, psychiatrists, researchers, professors, physicians, nurses, social workers, and students) and students who are interested in the behavioral and cognitive sciences in order to gain a better understanding of human behavior, develop, assess, and apply interventions to assist in behavior change, help people deal with personal and social problems and issues, and further the empirical study, theory, and practice of these sciences.
CPDD serves as an interface among governmental, industrial and academic communities maintaining liaisons with regulatory and research agencies as well as educational, treatment, and prevention facilities in the drug abuse field. It also functions as a collaborating center of the World Health Organization.
